VIDEO, SKIN AND TOUCH
Inside the church landscape of the project exception state of there grew a new image. From the concept of skin I worked on personal borders connected to national borders. During the first performance I did a body painting on the slow moving dancer which I filmed close-up throughout the piece. While filming I was painted the same way as the perfomer and became part of the image. The movie was in the UIT festival screened next to the same action, but edited together with images of green flies crawling over the skin of a dead blue bird. Later a loop of an insect stuck in a yellow, sweet dessert was projected onto the dancer’s skin. From investigating different aspects of skin and touch the video-work finally ventured into the anthropomorphic world between human, bird, skin, feather, touch and insect.
